Mentorship Program
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
How can an artist be identified through personal style? How can a body of work differentiate itself from the common line and be perceived in a way that does not lose its autonomy? This three, six, or twelve-month mentorship program aims to guide participants in utilizing an existing photographic project, or one which is in the initial stages or merely a concept. Together we will develop the necessary tools that will allow for its successful completion. The core foundation of this mentorship program will be both practical and theoretical, accommodating the needs of the project in order to establish and execute a cohesive body of work. Additionally and through lectures, assignments, and screenings, the participant will develop a solid foundation of the medium’s historical and contemporary practices that will broaden their understanding. By the end of the program, participants will have all the necessary tools and academic resources to efficiently apply them to their photographic process.
The student will work with me individually and not in a group, although on occasion other established professionals will be part of our conversation in order to extend the educational experience of the participant. Considering this the program will be structured accordingly in order to meet the student’s needs. The sessions are held bi-weekly via Zoom.
